Korean minimal style relies on soft, diffused lighting. Use a combination of a central pendant light and recessed spotlights. Add floor lamps with fabric shades to create pools of warm light. Avoid harsh overhead lights. A minimalist floor lamp beside a fabric armchair provides functional reading light without cluttering the space. The goal is a serene, well-lit atmosphere that feels airy and spacious, perfect for a Singapore condo.
Yes, many suppliers offer custom sizes. At the MIDHILL Lecong showroom, buyers can bring dimension schedules and leave with a full specification within five days. This process involves a two-day evaluation of a shortlist. Customisation ensures the set fits your specific HDB flat or condo layout perfectly. Be prepared for longer lead times, typically 4-6 weeks, and higher costs for bespoke pieces.
To protect solid wood, maintain a stable environment. Avoid placing furniture near air-conditioning vents or in direct sunlight, which can cause the wood to dry out and crack. Use a humidifier if the air is too dry or dehumidifier if it's too damp. Apply a high-quality furniture oil or polish every 3-6 months to nourish the wood. Never use silicone-based polishes, as they can create a buildup that traps moisture.
The ideal coffee table height is 40-45cm. This allows you to comfortably rest a drink or plate while sitting. There should be a gap of 40-45cm between the sofa and the table for legroom. The table's width should be about two-thirds the length of your sofa. In a Singapore home, consider a table with a smooth finish for easy cleaning in our humid climate.
Most reputable online retailers offer a 14-day return policy for defective items. The item must be in its original packaging and condition. For example, MIDHILL offers free shipping over US$350 and a 14-day return window. You'll need to arrange for the return, which may involve a pickup fee. Always check the specific terms before buying. Keep all packaging and paperwork until you are satisfied with the product.
